BT

So tonight, I decided to indulge in painting my toenails.  Yes, it's the small things that make me happy now.  But you have no idea how hard it is to do anything for yourself until you have a baby.  I realized that my toenails haven't seen a sexy shade of red, or any color for that matter, since BT.  That's Before Tanner.  And like many things now delinquent in our lives, they're BT.*
  1. Painted toenails
  2. Seeing movies in a theater
  3. Sleeping more than 5 hours uninterrupted
  4. Sneezing without peeing
  5. Getting out of the house before 12pm
  6. Buying clothes....for yourself
  7. Sleeping in
  8. Not paying $200 for date night because of over inflated babysitting costs
  9. Picking your next apartment based on proximity to bars (instead of good schools)
  10. Going out and getting drunk...and not getting woken up by a screaming child
  11. Sex in the morning
  12. Sex at night
  13. Not cutting the night short because your boobs are leaking
  14. Pumping is something you did at a gas station
  15. Not picking restaurants based on the availability of a diaper changing table
  16. Having a house that's not overrun by toys
  17. Not worrying about what floor boards to walk on during the middle of the night
  18. Having a conversation that doesn't start with "you should have seen his poop today..."
  19. Not waving at other people with strollers like they were part of a biker gang
  20. Thinking Ni Hao Kai Lan  and Yo Gabba Gabba were new Japanese rock bands
  21. Not caring if your fruits and veggies were full of pesticides
  22. Not fearing a baby that was on the verge of crawling
  23. Not knowing the difference between a hungry shriek and a bored shriek, or even caring
  24. Going out to dinner on a whim
  25. Looking in the mirror before leaving the house
  26. Taking a shower that lasts more than 2 minutes
  27. Having zero patience for crying babies in restaurants, airplanes, grocery lines, everywhere
  28. Not realizing that the littlest laugh can bring complete joy and the best thing in the world, hands down, is when a baby falls asleep on your shoulder
*As you can probably tell, this list was compiled with the help of Jason
