On Tanner's preschool registration, they asked to describe his personality. I've been with him practically 24/7 for the past 3 years of his life, yet this question was a hard one to answer. How do you sum up your biggest accomplishment, pride and joy in a few adjectives. I settled on friendly, outgoing, caring and very verbal. Not too "blow your socks off," I know, but true. The kid doesn't shut up. (He set a record number of "why's" in one minute with close to 15). And sometimes his sweet, caring nature makes me want to just kiss him to pieces. When I was putting him into his car seat the other day, he noticed a red mark on my face. (Really big popped pimple). Here's how the conversation went down. Makes me want to melt.
Tanner: Mommy, what's that?
Me: It's an owey.
Tanner: Who did that?
Me: Mommy did.
Tanner (as he takes my face into his hands): Mommy, you need to be careful. No hurting you.
Me: Ok, thanks, Tanner.
Tanner (as he kisses the owey): All better, Mommy.
Here are some pics from the last month:
Attempting a picture at Monterey Bay Aquarium
Outdoor bar/patio overlooking the Pacific in Half Moon Bay on the way home from Monterey

Bolinas Beach w/Wyatt, Jack and Reese
Steam train in Berkeley
Father's Day in Sonoma w/Jack
Eating ice cream the first day in SF the temps got above 70! Strawberry's Tanner's favorite.
He also likes chocolate
Hanging with Sav at the Discovery Museum
Our friend Daire's 30th BDay dinner at Pier 23. We were the only ones that brought a kid. Tanner and Mike were kings of the table (amongst many buckets of Coronas)
Vineyard stop on the way home from house hunting. Not a bad way to end an unsuccessful day.
The closest I'll ever get to having a girl. Tanner in pigtails before his haircut
Sonoma Fireworks for 4th of July. Spent the weekend with Jack at the Flamingo Inn lapping up every second by the pool. Unfortunately I didn't get any of those pics. But Tanner LOVED the fireworks.
After 3 years, Tanner parted with his bubba (pacifier). He gave the check out guy at Toys R Us his last two bubbas in exchange for a Mack truck from cars. His first purchase. And surprisingly, he hasn't asked for his bubba once since he got Mack, his new car, bedtime, eating friend. This picture was taken on the way home from Toys R Us. I wish we would've known how easy it was; we would've parted with bubba years ago. Look how big he looks!
